* Get unlimited rides on the Kansai-Airport Express “HARUKA” and local trains (including Rapid and Special Rapid services) with non-reserved seats, and WEST JAPAN JR BUS in the area; please note that the pass must be used within the valid period and the service range is subject to change

－Physical Ticket (Redemption Required) Introduction－

• Kansai Area Pass: Within the validity period, unlimited rides on HARUKA/rapid/ordinary trains between Kansai Airport (KIX) – Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Himeji, Wakayama, Shiga, Tsuruga, Iga Ueno
• Validity Period: 1/2/3/4 days from the start date, travelers must designate the date of use upon redemption (within 30 days of redemption)
• To reserve a seat, please present the JR PASS to the Green ticket counter or Green ticket machine. Seat reservation is not allowed until JR PASS is successfully redeemed
  – On-site seat reservation guidelines
• Ticket Range:

1. Kansai Area Pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area on the map. 
2. Valid trains are below:
   – Reserved seats on Kansai-airport Express HARUKA
   – Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines
3. The pass is only valid on WEST JAPAN JR BUS route buses within the valid area. The pass cannot be used on expressway buses

• These trains below cannot be used:
  – Both Reserved and Non-reserved seats on Express Trains excluding Kansai-airport Express HARUKA
  – The Special Rapid “A Seat” paid seating Service
  – Bullet Train “SHINKANSEN”
• Transport services and routes covered by this pass
• Tickets must be redeemed at the designated ticket counters in Japan. In addition to the JR Green ticket counters for JR PASS eMCO ticket pick-up, west Japan stations have Green JR ticket machines labeled “5489” for ticket pick-up
• Ticket exchange service at the ticket machine is only available for travelers with an e-passport. Travelers without an e-passport need to approach the ticket counter for manual ticket exchange (more info)

  ** Kyoto City Subway 1-day Ticket and Keihan Railway 1-day Ticket must be exchanged and used within the validity period of your JR Kansai Area Pass

－ WEST QR E-Ticket －

• JR Kansai Area Pass
  With the Kansai Area Pass, travelers can enjoy unlimited rides on the HARUKA Express, as well as local and rapid trains, between Kansai Airport and major destinations including Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Himeji, Wakayama, Shiga, Tsuruga, and Iga-Ueno during the validity period.
• Validity Period: You must specify the intended start date when redeeming the ticket (the selected date must be within 30 days from the date of redemption). Once activated, the pass is valid for 3 consecutive days starting from the first day of use.
• The “WEST QR E-Ticket” is used differently from the “physical ticket”. There is no need to exchange tickets at the station. You only need your smartphone to use the ticket and access the ride.

• Please note that WEST QR e-tickets are only available for 3-day passes.
• Since it currently does not include bonus passes such as the Kyoto Subway 1-Day Pass, the Keihan Kyoto Sightseeing One-Day Pass, or the Hankyu One-Day Pass, and cannot be used on West Japan JR Buses, purchasing the WEST QR E-Ticket saves you JPY 300.
