– What you can expect –
The Chora Mosque, originally part of a 4th-century Byzantine monastery, transitioned from church to mosque to museum—earning a place among Istanbul’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1985—and back into a mosque in 2020. Through these changes, it preserved its exquisite Byzantine Christian mosaics and frescoes, offering visitors a window into the rich artistic and architectural legacy that spanned centuries of cultural and religious transformation.
