  • Route 1: Taisho Pond Bus stop > Taisho Pond > Tashiro Pond > Kappa Bridge > Kamikochi Bus stop
  • For first-time visitors to Kamikochi, we recommend this beginner route, which allows you to see all the main attractions without backtracking. The entire 3.5km route can be completed in about 1 to 1.5 hours. The trail is flat and easy to walk, with breathtaking mountain scenery that will stay with you.
  • Route 2: Kamikochi Bus stop > Kappa Bridge > Myojin Bridge > Hotaka Okumiya Shrine & Myojin Pond > Takezawa Marsh > Kamikochi Bus Stop
  • If you’re adventurous and have time, we recommend walking along the Azusagawa River to the Myojin Bridge. The round trip is 5.6km and takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.
