• Kansai & Hokuriku Area Rail Pass (7-Day Ticket)

With the Kansai & Hokuriku Area Rail Pass, enjoy unlimited rides within the designated areas of Kansai and Hokuriku during the validity period of the pass.

• Updates to Valid Travel Area/Services as of March 16, 2024:

The valid section for the Hokuriku Shinkansen has been extended from (Kanazawa – Joetsumyoko) to (Tsuruga – Joetsumyoko).

※ The conventional line between Tsuruga and Kanazawa is no longer covered. Please use the Hokuriku Shinkansen for this section.

New addition: HAPI-LINE FUKUI (Fukui – Echizen-Hanando) *Only available when traveling on the JR Etsumi-Hoku Line.

From March 16, 2024, all seats on the limited express trains “THUNDERBIRD,” “SHIRASAGI,” “SUPER HAKUTO,” “SUPER INABA,” and “YAKUMO” are reserved seating only. (Advance reservation required.)

The West Japan JR Bus En-Fuku Line (Sonobe – Fukuchiyama) service will be discontinued from March 31, 2024.

— Redemption Method —

1. Self-service via Ticket Machine: Redeem your ticket at green ticket machines marked with the “PASSPORT” icon located at various stations.

・For important information on eMCO redemption, please refer to the official website.

・If the machine is out of order or your passport does not have an embedded IC chip, please go to a designated JR Green Window for manual ticket exchange.

2. Redemption at JR West Green Window: Present your eMCO (electronic exchange order) and passport at a JR Green Window to receive your physical ticket.

・No verification of name is required when using the ticket machine. However, at the Green Window, staff will verify your name against the voucher and passport.

・Only travelers with IC chip-embedded passports can redeem tickets at self-service machines. If your passport lacks an IC chip or the machine fails to process your request, please redeem your ticket manually at the counter.

3. Seat Reservation: To reserve a designated seat, present your physical rail pass at a Green Ticket Machine or Green Window before boarding.

・For detailed seat reservation instructions, please refer to the official website.

・For passes that allow unlimited reserved seat bookings, from the 7th reservation onward, seat tickets must be reserved at a Green Window—machines will no longer accept the reservation.
